RazorpayX Payroll comes at payroll from the money side. Its page says it pays salaries directly and files and pays TDS, PF, PT and ESIC for you, with the challans kept on your dashboard. For an owner who never wants to open the EPFO portal, that is a genuinely different product, and a good one.
Facto Lite works the other way round. It does the working out: attendance, leave, every employee's PF, ESI, TDS and professional tax, and a payslip on their phone. Then it hands you a bank file and a list of what the month owes, and you or your accountant pay it.
A RazorpayX Payroll alternative: who moves the money
That's the real choice. If you want the software to move money, RazorpayX does and Facto Lite doesn't. If you already pay salaries from your bank and your accountant files the challans, you're paying for a service you don't use, and what you may be missing is everything around payroll: tasks, checklists and sales follow-ups, which Facto Lite has in the same app.
What one month owes, worked out
Three people at a small retail branch, for Oct 2026, from the engine Facto Lite runs:
| Person | PF, both shares | ESI, both shares |
|---|---|---|
| Store assistant | ₹2,160 | ₹640 |
| Accountant | ₹2,640 | ₹800 |
| Branch manager | ₹3,600 | ₹0 |
That's ₹8,400 of PF due by 15 Nov 2026 and ₹1,440 of ESI due by 15 Nov 2026. The branch manager pays no ESI, because their gross is above ₹21,000, and PF stops at the ₹15,000 wage ceiling. RazorpayX would pay and file both. Facto Lite shows both on the month's compliance list, flags them if they're late, and leaves the paying to you.
The PF and ESI calculator runs the same sums, and the compliance calendar has every due date for the year.
